Soccer is a full time commitment in September and October. With practices during the week and games every weekend. Make that two games every weekend since we had all three girls in soccer this year.
Lets just say that soccer is not everyone's "thing".
Addison's team, the Dragons, put forth a lot of effort this year. Addi, #3, has mixed emotions about soccer, she likes it but she doesn't necessarily like to be a part of the action. She really doen't care to run after the ball, nor does she like to be goalie because the ball is being kicked towards you. She is more of a 'social' player.
Lexi, #5, seemed to take to soccer quite naturally. She likes to be a part of the action and she also likes to play goalie.

And then there was Leighton.
Leighton, #3, does not like soccer, she doesn't like to practice or even join the team, she definitely does not want to be on the field during a game and when she was she spent most of the time laying on the ground crying while the game was being played around her.
With her draw string from her shorts looped over her head, our little emotional girl was, well emotional.

The ball is taken away and Leighton does her signature move of sitting on the ground sulking. (doesn't phase Lexi though)
The highlight of Leighton's soccer experience was when she made her first goal by grabbing the ball -with her hands- and running it to her own team's goal and throwing it in.

Attempt number two at kicking the ball... Crash and burned.
And that is a true summary and representation of Leighton's soccer experience.
Team Bumble Bee's
We had the best parent coach in the world. He was so paitient with the kids.
But everyone agrees that their favorite part about soccer is playing at the park after all the games are done.
