The GranFam Grand Adventure 2013: McCall to Coeur D'Alene (C-D)

Our adventure continues as we travel from McCall to Coeur D'Alene.  It was a beautiful, mountainous, windy, long drive.  You can tell from our sleeping beauty's that this 6 hour stretch was long.

A summit overlook somewhere near White Bird and the Nez Perce Battle grounds.

A quick pic of Lewiston as we drove by.

Chewed up Flip Flops.
Not only are they chewed up, they were BRAND NEW!!  Only one person would ever think of chewing on her flip flops and that would be Lexi.  She is our most destructive child.  I swear we fed her while traveling, this would just be what Lexi does when she is bored.  On a cute note, Lexi calls them her 'slip slops'.

Tuckered out after a day of traveling.

Coeur D'Alene.

This is what we came for!
Heaven just might be being on the water and watching the kids play.  Love how involved Ausi gets into playing on the beach.  That little boy thinks he is the same size as his sisters and wants to be right there with them in all activities.

Digging holes is hard work for this one year old.
Climb aboard me hearties for a Pirate Ship adventure on Lake Coeur D'Alene.
Nothing sound better to kids than a 'scenic' boat ride, but turn that into a pirate adventure and they are all for it.
Games, tattoos, sword fights, skull scavenger hunt, coloring, food, songs, cannons and of course treasure chest that they had to pull up from out of the lake!
It was the right day for finding treasure and a great way for mom and dad to take in a scenic boat ride with kids!

love my kids

Just north of Coeur D'Alene is this fantastic amusement/water park called Silverwood.  It's mascot is Garfield and his gang.  This is where we discovered that our kids have no idea who Garfield is.

Our kids love amusement park rides.  We discovered that they really have no fears, if they were tall enough to ride, they would.  Even the giant Ferris Wheel was fun for all.  The only thing that scared Mommy more than the height and the rocking, was the fact that Daddy took Austin on it with him!!  Hold on to my BABY!!

After several Hours of riding the rides we took the kids over to the splash park and water slides.  Addi (who use to be too timid and scared of being splashed) now has a new love for water parks and would go up by her self and ride each ride over and over.

Addi shooting the cannon and showing off her new 'two piece' swim suit.
Addi had been begging for a 'two-piece' because that's what big girls wear.  She has a tendency to become obsessed over things.  Mommy had the foresight to compromise and buy her a long torso tankini.  Addi was happy and the topic resolved. One battle down!

After we finished splashing around we spent the closing hour of the park riding the rides again.

It looks like it was absolutely beautiful. I LOVE the picture of the three kiddos asleep. I just feel kind of bad for your kids - You don't ever do anything fun with them. Ha!
