The First Week of June...

Kicking off our summer in a grande way, 

we went to Daddy's Grand Opening for the Sunny Side Road Office.  

BBQ, Piggy Banks for the kids, Meeting Sam the Eagle and the highlight... 

Addi had a turn in the Money Chamber.  

30 seconds to grab as much money as you can while it is being blown all around you.  

She did a great job and caught 7 dollars.

Kids also got to go for their first ride in Skipper's classic VW Thing, 

they even got to show it off and include some friends for the ride.

I had to take a picture of this little sweet heart who choose to watch a show over running and playing.  What show you may ask?

Tom and Jerry.  

She was mesmerized by it.  

The classics knew how to do it right.

Ofcourse as soon as it ended, she could have cared less about the next show and was off playing.  Even if playing meant trying out the slide upside down, and she was not the only one.

Taking the triple for one last spin (even though Lexi and Addi claim that they are too big for a stroller and opted to ride their bikes instead).  Last outing before Mom sold the triple, and yes, we have missed it.  It was an awesome stroller, glided so smooth with very little effort.  And now for a moment of silence and we reflect on all the wonderful family moments that we shared with this stroller.....

Seriously, that was not a long enough moment.

But on to some brother/sister cuteness.  A rare moment with these two.  They are usually the rough housers of the bunch.

This little boy loves the accessories.

Who can resist that cute face.

This is more like a public service announcement for all the bike riders this summer.  If you teach your kids anything about riding a bike, make sure you teach them these 2 simple rules:

1. Wear a helmet

2. Look straight ahead

We came home to find our parked car had been in an accident with a bicyclist.  A young, 14 year old bicyclist was out riding his bike with a friend and their dogs.  When they rounded the corner in front of our house, the young boy turned his head to see if the dogs were keeping up with them and he collided with our parked car and put his head through the back windshield.  It is a complete miracle that he walked away from this accident (he actually rode his bike home to get his parents).  He was not wearing a helmet and he was very fortunate that he did not sustain any serious injuries.

And that was our first week of June.
