The Gran Fam: MAY-hem!

Busy Busy May. With Dance Recital practices every day times three kids in three different classes, we took kids to dance 15 times that week. Add that to Gymnastic recital, Preschool programs, First Grade presentation, Preschool graduation, School Jog-a-thon, talent shows, Volunteering in classes, trips with kids and still have some regular living, then you might agree that the month of May should be renamed to May-hem!

Starting with our quick trip to Utah. It had been a while since we had taken our kids to Hoggle Zoo. It's fun to see a variety of animals that we don't have at our zoo.

A lost pacifier is the cause of this melt down. Ausi is a pretty 'jolly' kid most of the time that when he has a melt down like this, its pretty humerous. He plunked himself down in the middle of the walk way and refused to move until Daddy retraced our steps and found the missing pacifier.

He is my first one year old to use the word no consistently.

We found a little park with some small carnival rides.

Addi opted for a "big kid" ride. Mommy had a childhood wish to go on the swing ride and took this opportunity to go with Addi on the swings (not pictured). After spinning for a few seconds Mommy realized that this was not the ride for her. Feeling nauseous Mommy had to endure the rest of the ride (which seemed to take forever to end) and remained nauseous for a whole hour later.

I enjoyed everything that my sweet family did for me that day, but I had to document my card from Lexi that she made in primary.

It was just so typical of a Lexi answer, she add 'all day' to the end of many of her stories. My funny girl.

Addi asked me if she could make me a dessert for Mother's Day, and what my favorite dessert was. I told her that I would love a cheese cake but that it would be too hard for her to make by herself. She decided that she would wait till Daddy got home from his church meetings and then they would make the cheese cake together. It turned out AMAZING! Daddy and Addi can make me cheese cake anytime they want!

She had this little cat eyes prop from her graduation, and it became a hit with everyone at our house.

First Grade portfolio night with Addi. It was a educational night all about the rain forest. Mommy had spent several afternoons at the school cutting, folding, stapling, binding, assisting and instructing the students through their art projects. It turned out super cute and the kids were so excited to share all that they accomplished with their parents.

Addi (oh my sweet Addi), after many, many discussions on behavior and responsibility (its a long story), we came up with a point system where she could earn points for proper behavior and getting her homework done etc. When she earns enough points she gets to pick an award. Her choice: go out on a dinner date with Daddy!
