Flirting with Fall

It's that time of year again in Idaho when one day it's warm and sunny outside and the next day your going to need a jacket!  But we've kept so busy that you would never know the temperature was dropping.

Kicking off the season with the kiddo's and the pumpkin patch.  

However Addi may not have known it was a pumpkin patch because she was all about the kittens.

Celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving in our Patriotic clothes.  We decided to forgo the traditional turkey dinner and substituted it for some Canadian Favorites!  Perogies and Poutine for everyone.  And for desert, a desert sampling tray of Canadian chocolate bars!

Bear World!

Closing weekend and lots of fun.  Candy hunt, straw maze, rides and we even got to go on the feeding truck and feed the bears!

On the Bear Truck.  It was so exciting to ride on the feeding truck at bear world.  What do you feed a bear?  Bread and Apples.

Yup, and the bears would come running.

We found out a lot of interesting facts about bears while feeding them but the most interesting bit of information was that the bears were already starting to hunker down in hibernation mode a month early which can indicate that winter is coming soon and that it could be a cold, long winter. (Yikes!)

The nurse came in for her vaccinations!  But a least she got to keep the cool blue gloves, and Mommy took her out for ice cream after.  Even so, Lexi is traumatized after her stitches and now her immunizations.  It just happened to be bad luck that I took all the kids in to get their flu shots the following week but because it had not been more than 30 day since Lexi's immunization she couldn't get the nasal mist like her sisters and had to get yet another shot.  Poor girl.

Trouble.  

They take a turn dumping the dirt out of the plant around this age.  Naughty naughty.

 I'm surprised that this plant is still alive.

Taking beauty to a whole new level.  Thanks to Grammy the girls are always stocked with makeup.  Perhaps practice makes perfect?...eventually?

It's not October til addi gets stuck in the witches cauldron.

Working on any project in this house comes with lots of help.

Preschool field trip to the pumpkin patch.  Lexi and Cousin B are in the same class together.  It's fun having cousins close by.

Their reply was "We are taking turns sitting on the balloon egg waiting for it to hatch."

Enjoying the beautiful fall weather while we can the kids get out and play.

Of course if you leave kids with a kite at some point the kite will get stuck in a tree.
