Happy Halloween from
4 little Monsters,
a Witch
and one handsome Devil!
Getting our pumpkins carved. Each year it's a similar story of breaking the small pumpkin carving knives that come with the set and having to resort to using a steak knife. The last pumpkins always end up having very simple shapes. Addi proves that she is "big enough" to help do some carving. Lexi helps scoop out the "pumpkin guts" but Lei says it's "eww" and would not scoop. We had the brain storm to let the kids color on the pumpkins with washable markers while they watched. It was a super idea and way to involve everyone. Plus the kids got to try to make lots of different faces in their pumpkins.
Drum roll... The GranFam's Theme this year is...
Cowboys and Indians!
It may be politically incorrect but we loved our theme this year. It all started because I found a little Indian costume online that I swear they stole Leighton to be the model, it was uncanny I had to buy it.
See! Wouldn't you believe that they used Leighton for this photo??
And since Lexi's had a cowgirl themed party, our Halloween theme just came together. We did have to convince Lei to wear her costume by telling her that she was "Princess" Tiger Lily from Peter Pan to get her in her costume (that girl and her princess obsessions). Austin's costume was our own little hand-me-down miracle from his cousins. We were so please with how well it turned out.

We also took the kid's to Boo at the Zoo because Daddy was handing out candy at the Bank's booth.
The kid's took in quite the haul. Thank goodness we have dentist appointments next week!
