Catching up

Life.
It seems to be passing by me at a pace that I am having trouble keeping up with lately.  Catching up seems to be my motto lately.  I tried really hard to keep our November "simple" because I scheduled back to back surgeries, but obviously November had other plans!

Much to be Thankful for.

The Whole Gran Clan made it to Idaho for Thanksgiving, this being a rare event we decided to take a picture.  16 Adults and 15 Children makes it a full house.

Thankfulness Falling.

An Idaho first for us.  Raking leaves.  We have lived here for 6 years and have never had to rake our leaves.  They are usually covered with snow almost as soon as they hit the ground, but we have had such a fabulous fall to enjoy!

Thankful for the Day to Day.

Love the many little things that make up our day.  Such as coming down stairs to find Lexi feeding her brother, or a babe in a box, or Lei becoming more independent daily and helping herself.

Or the sweetness of a sleeping baby, or watching him grow each day.

Or the joy of siblings interacting, connecting and enjoying each others company.

Or the accidental bubble bath from an entire (new) bottle of bubble bath.

Or a sleeping baby, again. 

Or movie night with popcorn.

Or the realization that there are some bibs that should not be reused with your son.  

Or the induction into the GranFam Girls club (little brothers included).

Love the day to day.

Thankful for Recovery.

Yes, hindsight is a wonderful thing.  Scheduling back to back surgery- not so much.  Mommy had to get her knee scoped again, but she recovered quite quickly.  However, she also got her tonsils out 5 days later.  Mommy would not wish to repeat that again.  She is grateful that Aunt J and Grandma could come help with the kiddos for a couple of days.  Kiddos loved the extra attention too.

Lexi makes the sweetest and cutest little nurse as she covers Mommy with 30 baby blankets and then gives her a kiss better.

Thankful for memories.

Thankful for the season.

Back home and enjoying this holiday season.  We have had a very mild winter and only a couple of days of snow, rare for our area.  Our kids are dreaming of a white Christmas to come.

Now that we are caught up, we can't wait to share this holiday season with you!
