Inside & Out

With January almost over we know that we needed to update our posts, however, I am feeling a sort of writers block.  I don't know if it is from Lei's sudden need to have 3 am feedings (I think she is teething again) or just from my lack of writing experience.  But the Girls keep busy and are changing every day.  It's hard to keep up!

Outside

Yup, fresh air. Refreshing bitter cold Idaho air. But our girls know how to bundle up!

We are trying to take advantage of our snowy season, luckily for us we have a nice little hill just a hop skip and a jump away from our front door.  Mommy can watch from the front window (it's nap time for Lei) as Daddy and the girls go for a ride.

Addi is big enough to go by herself! 

Lexi discovered eating snow.  Oh Lexi...just avoid the yellow snow.

Perfect day!

After sledding it was time to go to the park, or should I say our garage, for some swing time!

INSIDE

It often seems like we are locked inside during the winter... sometimes literally.  Lexi is increasing her abilities and her vocabulary.  She says "go-go" if she wants to go anywhere, "Up", "More", "Tickle", "Mine" and what she can't say she is pretty good at expressing through her body language.  She loves belly buttons, and thinks they are for tickling.  She loves to walk up to other kids and try to tickle their belly buttons.  Getting dressed in the morning usually has Addi scrambling to get her shirt on before Lexi attacks her belly button.

Lei is seven months old now and has adopted her daddy's easy going personality.  She is just starting to find her own voice and likes to make all sorts of noises by sucking in the air, blowing out the air, tongue in, tongue out, but my favorite is her laugh!  She is quite ticklish, especially just under her chin.

Where's Lexi?  We have posted many pictures of Lexi dressing up, she just loves to try things on.  She often will find things like teething rings that she will put on her wrists as bracelets and then will place a head band on her head like a tiara then look over to me for approval and to be told how beautiful she looks. This time I think she is confused as to what just happened.  Uh, who turned out the lights?

"Let me help you with that."  I wish I would have videoed this, it was too cute and too funny as Lexi, the much older sister who doesn't know how to even put on her own socks, trys repeatedly to help Lei put on hers.  A little bit about both these girls personalities, Lexi- determined and independent Lei- relaxed and easy going. 

Lexi, (head shaking back and forth) every time.  She is so funny.  She is a good eater but she often will try to eat out of her bowl or plate like a puppy.  This time it is the pick up and try to drink her food method.

 Lexi, our one year old going on three, thinks she is such a big girl and trys to do everything.  This one is new but she thinks it's so funny!

Lei is our little inch worm!  I consider her to be crawling.  She gets up on her hands and knees then pushes forward to her tummy.  You wouldn't think that this would be as effective but she seems to be able to get from point A to point B quite quickly. 

Life is getting busier as our kids become more and more in motion!
