2010 Recap in Pics!

As we say our goodbyes to the year 2010 we look back at what an exciting and blessed year it was for our Family. We hope you enjoy as we celebrate through pictures! (And we apologize for Mommy's new obsession of collages)

January- there is never too much to recap in January because it's just too cold to do much of anything.  We did however go to Canada to visit Grandma and Grandpa and celebrate Great Grandma's 90th birthday!  It was Lexi's first trip to Canada and it was very exciting as she met and was passed around to lots of  anxiously awaiting family members.

February- it's all about the love!  And who wouldn't feel it when you have these two cuties around.  Lexi starts sitting up with support and Addi hams it up trying to make Lexi laugh.  Mommy feels baby inside move more often.

March- with a little bit of luck our adoption papers finally come in allowing our family to go to the temple to be sealed.  This day was definitely one of the top highlights of our year.  Addi felt like a princess in her white dress, and showed her true colors as the made her grand entrance in the temple with a grandiose curtsy in front of everyone.  Mommy is not so sure that white is the most flattering color at eight months pregnant. We are reminded how blessed our family is as we were joined by many of our loved ones at the temple and in spirit.  The feelings and impressions of that day have strengthened our testimonies of the gospel and the love that our Savior has for us.

April showers = kids growing bigger.  Addi turned 3 and had a princess party.  Lexi gets first tooth and first taste of chocolate!

May- Happy Mother's Day Mommy with her three little girls!  Count down for baby begins, and that's pretty much all we do this month- can't you tell.

June- Leighton Michelle is born!  8lbs 6 oz of chubby cheeks.  Mommy who was induced still wonders what a contraction feels like.  Daddy celebrates Father's Day with two new daughters.  Grandma thankfully comes to help with the new arrival and increases our chances of three on three.  Daddy jokes that we should make this into a look and find collage.  Go for it, how many baby bows are in this collage?



July- Happy first Fourth to both Lexi and Lei.  Baby blessing brings family and a road trip in a 15 passenger van to Yellowstone with four kids all in car seats.

August- Getting the hang of being out numbered we decide to take the kids on a few adventures to the park, swimming, a fair and even yes- hiking.

September- Happy First Birthday Lexi!  Our seasonally warm weather allows us to enjoy a beautiful fall season.  Addi starts preschool.

October- Hooray Fall has arrived!  Took the Family to Canada for Canadian Thanksgiving, first time in the nine years we have been married.  We never went because it falls at the same time as harvest which means Grandpa will be busy on the farm, little did we know how much fun it was to go for rides with him on the combine and on the horse.  Daddy discovered that Grandma makes the best stuffing he has ever had and is insisting that we make it to Canadian Thanksgiving every year.  Mommy goes the extra mile and makes the girls Halloween costumes this year- they turned out to be "spooktacular"!

November- On the go- literally.  Addi loves to practice her dancing, Lexi becomes a climber, and Lei is our first baby that rolls. 

December- Christmas Cheer is in the air starting with (our families Elf on the Shelf) Eldon's arrival.  Then full speed a head with a whirl wind of sugar cookies, Santa visits, sled rides, snowman making, shopping, hot chocolate, Christmas outfits and more.  It all came and went so fast, mommy even managed to squeeze in knee surgery just before Christmas. Daddy discovered how many trips up and down the stairs it takes to get three girls dressed and out the door.  Mommy tried to get Lexi to say HoHoHo but we think it just furthered her in her ability to say NoNoNO!  Addi was very excited for Christmas Eve as she made sure all the preparations for Santa were in place including Santa's favorite- chocolate milk! 



Christmas morning was a bit of a circus. Mommy on crutches, Lexi and Lei only lasted half of the gift opening before taking their morning naps, stockings weren't even touched until that evening but oh well, as we learn in the movie "It's a Wonderful Life" things don't have to be perfect to be perfectly wonderful! And the year 2010 has truly shown us what a wonderful life ours is.
