Fall and Freezing

There's a chill in the air which means Fall is upon us in Idaho.  Addi kicks off our fall season by starting school as our little kindergartner   It was a rough first week as we learned the ropes of school bus transportation.  She now knows which bus is hers and she has been threatened enough that I think she will get off at the right stop now (she tried to initiate a play date by getting off at a friends house).  We are enjoying all the new things Addi is learning each day, one of which is reading.  She loves to show her new skills by reading everything around her.  She also tries to copy Mommy and Daddy by spelling words so the "babies wont know what she is saying" however, instead of spelling the word, she sounds out the word!  Not fooling her sisters for one second.
Addi: "Mom, can I have some ch-o-col-ate, some ch-o-col-ate  m-m-m-il-k?"
Lexi: "I want chocolate milk too."
Addi: "What?  Lexi knows how to spell?"

Addi also got to participate in a mini cheer camp and cheer at the high school football game.  Check out her sweet moves in the video clip at the bottom of this post as she almost takes out another little girl with her head roll and hair flip!

Working the eye patch, little Lei thinks she is a pirate when she has to wear one and says "argh".  The patch is suppose to help her strengthen her left eye.  Her cute little eye wink was actually a coping mechanism for not seeing as well with her one eye.  Hopefully the eye patches and dilation drops in time will correct and strengthen her sight.

Look who's sitting up in the Bumbo!
This Happy Guy!

It's a pizza party as our little chefs perfect their original recipe of dough, sauce, cheese, cheese and more cheese.

Ausi and his bro-cuz Boston
(who is Lexi's age and is why Lexi calls her little brother Boston because she can not differentiate between Austin and Boston)

Busy Lei.  Dressing up as a princess is now a daily thing, and so is taking over all the baby gear and gadgets.

Lexi and her little bro.  I can't believe how sweet and loving the girls are to Ausi.  They really do like being with him and interacting with him.  It's so sweet.

Snoozing.

I love these girls!

We took a Fall trip up to Canada for Canadian Thanksgiving.  While there we were able to take the kids to the Calgary Temple open house.  It was beautiful, this makes three temples now in Alberta.  We hoped the temple visit would make an impression on the kids, instead I think our kids made an impression... at one point Lexi went inside a changing stall and locked it so I had to get Addi to crawl under the door to unlock it.

We went with our cousins to an amazing corn maze to have some family fun.  With rides, a petting zoo, slides, swings, fun jumps and more.  The only thing that was missing was being able to stay warm!  It was freezing!  Ausi made things worse by having a diaper explosion while in the baby bjorn, so Mommy and Ausi watched a lot of the fun from inside a warm car.  Thank goodness we had our suitcases with us and could change our clothes.
