Catching up on Life and Blogging.
We had a very big 4th of July this year. While Mommy was in the hospital the GranGirls got to go the parade with Daddy, Grandma and their cousins. They followed that up with a BBQ and nap time! Then that evening they got to welcome home Mommy and their new baby brother. Then it was off to the fireworks show! And if that was not enough excitement for our July 4th 2012 we also had Hand foot and Mouth at our house.
Summer has been hot this year. It's been hard to get the kids to play outside in the heat but a little splash park action helps cool things down.
While indoors all of our attention seems to be centered around this little guy. Big sisters love to hold him and give him kisses.
Getting ready for his first bath at home!
Lei is obsessed with brushing her teeth. If the bathroom door is left open she will climb up on the counter to find her toothbrush - actually, she doesn't care if it's her brush or not.
Lexi is so full of imagination, this is her being a kitty while eatting a jam (open face) sandwich and watermelon.
This was a first. When checking on the kids before going to bed, Mommy discovered that Addi was missing from her bed. It didn't take long to locate her as she was snuggled in fast asleep with Lei in the crib.
Lei taking her turn as big sister as she pretends to feed baby with her toy spoon.
Addi holding her brother like a "grown-up". She thinks she can do anything with him, and has tried. She takes him in and out of his bouncy chair, she has carried him up stairs to Mommy (a shocked Mommy), and she has been found changing his diaper all by herself!
Lexi is finding lots of opportunities to find her independence while Mommy is feeding baby. She has spilled the Cheerio's box (on purpose), smashed bananas in an attempt to open them (on purpose), and she has painted her body with chocolate syrup (and again on purpose). Oh what will she try next.
Addi enjoyed T-ball again this year.
While watching the Olympics this year I was explaining to Addi that there are many different sports involved, she then asked if we could watch the Olympic T-ball game.
July has been a busy month for our family.
Oh yeah, and Mommy had a birthday. (starting to rethink the numbered candles)
Little Ausi (blog name) and his fabulous Monkey blanket that his Great Aunt L (who happens to be really great) made him.
Loving this little guy (the one on the right)!
