"It's begining to look a lot like Christmas..."

The Christmas spirit is settling in the Gran Fam home this holiday season. Addi was very helpful decorating our Christmas tree this year and every day we find more and more Santa ornaments making their way to the bottom of the Christmas tree and usually bunched all together on one branch. Lexi is in awe of the sheer beauty, or maybe just blinded from all the twinkle lights.
Winter has truly settled in, as beautiful as the snow is the bitter cold keeps us indoors. Yesterday Addi was watching Dora while eating breakfast and it was teaching her about the different seasons. Later, while we were out running errands, I told her she had to wear her hat because it was really cold. Once we were out of the cold she told me "Mommy, I don't belong in the winter". Humoring her I asked her where she belongs and she said "the summer cuz it's sunny". Mommy agrees, Mommy does not belong in winter either.
Our girls are growing up fast. Lexi is such a sweet hearted little girl who always has a smile ready when she sees you. She is getting a little more interactive and makes the sweetest cooing noises when she is happy, they are quite feminine sounding and melodic. She is quite a little mover and her legs are always kicking, which causes her to scoot a little bit. Big Sister and her love snuggling on the couch, Addi loves it when Lexi "talks" to her.
Both girls did really well when we went to visit Santa. Lexi had no problem and Addi was willing to sit on his lap, no smile but no crying either so we consider it a huge success!
